Google recently announced that they will soon be deprecating Gadgets in Google Spreadsheets. Beginning in the first few months of 2013, users will no longer be able to add any new Gadgets to their spreadsheets. A few months after that, all Gadgets will be removed from Google Spreadsheets. Any data you’ve used to build Gadgets will remain in your spreadsheets.
Users with Gadgets serving as any of the following chart types can find this functionality in charts in spreadsheets. (To insert one of these charts, from the Insert menu, select Chart.) - Line chart
- Area charts
- Bar charts
- Column charts
- Scatter plot
- Pie charts
- Motion chart
- Annotated timeline
- Sparklines
- Gauges
- Table chart
- Organizational Chart
- Radar Chart
- GeoMap chart
- Combo chart
- Candlestick chart
- Tree map
